Hello!

My name is Caitie DeShazo-Couchot

I love to problem solve. As a recent Electrical and Computer Engineering graduate, I was taught how to approach and solve technical problems. However, my 4+ years of working a Fred Meyer supermarket customer service desk, taught me how to quickly and thoughtfully solve customer problems.

With my passion for problem solving and customer-first attitude, I am eager to explore Product Management opportunities!

ABOUT ME

ARTISTIC FOUNDATION

From a young age, I was often found with a sketchbook or drawing in hand, immersed in a world of imagination. I went to a Charter School for the Arts which nurtured a deep sense of creativity and detail, essential for crafting compelling product visions and solutions.

BUSINESS STRATEGY

In high school, I competed as apart of the Future Business Leaders of America in publication design, financial math, technical writing, and graphic design - winning multiple statewide awards. These projects, coupled with my role as my chapter president, has given me extensive business expertise.

TECHNICAL GROUNDWORK

My BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Washington, alongside my research roles, has fortified my technical skills. My coursework centered in software and embedded systems concepts, necessary for technical groundwork and understanding of products.

ENGINEERING

March 2012 • I won a a drawing competition in the local newspaper, the theme being a punny egg. My winning egg was the "Egg-cellent Egg-erina."

June 2019 • I competed at the FBLA National Competition in San Antonio, TX for Publication Design, after winning 5th in Washington state.

September 2022 • Won the NASA Space Grant for two years for my energy efficiency research in Washington state manufacturers.

ONTO WHAT'S NEXT...

Currently, as a research engineer, I lead experimental testing and data analysis to guide product execution. My research skills and critical analysis of results are crucial to the team's product development, as well. I’m eager to channel my blend of creativity, business insight, and technical expertise into a product management role.
