Portfolio
I have a solid foundation in marketing, product design, and financial analysis, complemented by hands-on technical experience in user-focused design and product execution. My projects have involved programming, experimental analysis, and business sense, preparing me to contribute effectively to product development and innovation.

Aerosol Collector Quality Testing
January 2024 - Present • SpecTree Inc.
Data-Driven Analysis
Experimental Testing
Product Execution
Led the testing and evaluation of a Dielectric Barrier Discharge (DBD) device with an Electrostatic Precipitator (ESP) and a Microwell Impactor to assess particle collection efficiency. Conducted 50+ experiments using fluorescent particles and various test dusts, analyzing large datasets to identify effective features and critical product failures. Carefully considered which equations and results would give the desired results while also standardizing the process and templates for future researchers on the team. Provided detailed progress updates and redesign recommendations to sponsors based on data-driven insights. Ensured product improvements aligned with performance goals and industry standards.

Industrial Lighting Enhancements
January 2023 - June 2023 • UW Industrial Training & Assessment Center
Data-Driven Analysis
Financial Research
Customer-First
Conducted energy audits for the University of Washington’s Industrial Training and Assessment Center, identifying inefficiencies in their lighting systems and recommending a switch from fluorescent to LED ballasts for improved energy efficiency. Performed detailed calculations to project financial cost savings and evaluate the cost-benefit over the payback period. Compiled findings into a Department of Energy-approved report, featuring data-driven analysis, financial research, and a customer-first approach to optimize energy use and reduce operational costs. These recommendations often saved corporations $5000+ a year with an annual payback of less than 3 years, making these very cost-effective changes.

Retail RFID Engagement Solution (RRES)
March 2023 - June 2023 • Embedded Systems Capstone
Market Research
Product Design
Collaboration
Collaborated on a team project during the Embedded Systems Capstone at the University of Washington to design and implement a cost-effective RFID scanning solution for retail environments. Conducted market research to identify the needs of grocery stores for efficient item scanning carts and led the design and development of the product, including its user interface and web application. Previous experience in working in a grocery store gave insights into customer concerns and first-hand perspective in the needs of the consumer. Managed 5 project milestones and ensured effective teamwork to deliver a functional and user-centered product. Gave final reports and documentation for specification and product goals.

Audio Signals & Image Denoiser
January 2023 - March 2023 • Signal Processing Lab
Product Design
Experimental Testing
Collaboration
Developed a Python program for a Programming for Signal Processing course to denoise audio signals and images using skimage, matplotlib, and scipy. Created a Sobel edge detector for image filtering and sound wave reversal, working closely with a team of two to iteratively improve the software through experimental testing. Carefully weighed in the perspective of teammates while working on the project for the optimal product results. Analyzed performance and provided recommendations for further enhancements based on collaborative testing and feedback. Completed the project in only 2 weeks, showcasing a quick ideation-to-product pipeline.

SoftwAIR
October 2021 - March 2022 • Sensors, Energy, & Automation Lab (SEAL)
Market Research
Product Design
Customer-First
Led a team of eight in designing 30 user interface components and a comprehensive software wireframe for SoftwAIR, a Smart-Home Air Particulate-Matter Monitoring Software startup based in Seattle, WA. SoftwAIR aims to automate air quality monitoring to ensure clean air for everyone, providing a smart-home monitoring system. Conducted thorough market analysis and research to inform the design process. The project was recognized as a Top 10 Finalist out of 200+ teams from over six countries in four innovation competitions. Managed product development from identifying key features to meeting deadlines, addressing sponsor and consumer needs effectively, and working toward the official founding of the startup to make the world a safer place.

SkyView Highschool
November 2018 - June 2019 • Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA)
Product Design
Financial Research
Product Execution
Created a complete branding package for SkyView High School, including logo, theme, colors, and promotional materials as a solo competitor in the Future Business Leaders of America publication design competition. Achieved 2nd place in regionals and 5th place in state, qualifying for the national competition. Focused on understanding the modern high school aesthetic and consumer preferences, ensuring all design choices were well-justified and effectively communicated to the judges. Carefully considered judge feedback as user-feedback and used that to guide future iterations and product design while advancing through the competitions. Demonstrated strong skills in product design, financial research, and execution.
